Below are our Sanctuary and Hospice pups

Missy

Sanctuary/Hospice

Meet Missy! Missy is a 13 year young Shih-Tzu. MIssy originally came to us with her older sister (she has since passed) and she was very bonded to her. She has since transfered this bond to one of our personal dogs, and we are not going to uproot her again, so we will remain as a sanctuary pup. Missy and Mandy came to us from a vet’s office referral. The owner had requested them both to be euthanized, but the vet talked her into surrendering them instead. They did not even have any major medical concerns. Missy gets to live out the rest of her life with her new found friends. If you are interested in donating to her care, please click the button above.

Oscar

In Hospice

Meet Oscar! He is a 13 year old senior Shih-Tzu here at the Tzu Zoo. Oscar came to us from an animal control facility, and we got to him right before he was going to be put down. His previous owners fell on hard times and had to make the heart breaking decision to surrender him. Oscar was very loved in his previous home and his personality shows it. After taking him to our vet, we found out the lump on is side as well as some of his other lumps are cancerous. He will remain in our hospice care for the remainder of his life.

Bandit

Sanctuary

Bandit is sweet little guy looking for his forever home. He is mostly likely a Lhasa mix, 10 yrs old. He is a cat like dog that likes to do things on his terms. He is not quite a snuggly dog, but is happy to sit with you on the sofa or in your recliner. He does get snippy when you try to get him something he does not want to do (no small children please). He does have a grade 4 heart murmur, it is asymptomatic, and he has started on meds to try to keep it at bay. See below to complete an application.
